Welcome to Martin Home Inspections
Servicing Sioux Falls and the entire southeast South Dakota region.

As home buyers take on a more active role in protecting their investments, the real estate world has seen the number of home buyers who hire a home inspector rise from about 20% in 1980 to nearly 70% today.  And the number continues to grow.  That's because there is simply no one else you can hire that will give you the in-depth knowledge of a home that a home inspector can.

One of the most expensive and important purchases you may ever make is your home.  However, unlike the guarantee a buyer receives with most purchases, there's no money-back guarantee or return policy if you're not satisfied with your recently purchased home.  Once you buy a home, you're on your own to maintain it, repair it, and anticipate future problems.  This is why it's best to know as much as you can about your home, its problems, or potential problems, before you make the final commitment to buy.  At Martin Home Inspections we have the training and experience to give you the knowledge you need about the home before you buy it.
Condominiums
When you hire Martin Home Inspections we will conduct an in-depth visual inspection of the home and its operating components for you.  Our inspector will walk through the home with you and give you a detailed report of his findings.  After the inspection you will receieve a professionally prepared report with digital photographs included to highlight important areas.

We have inspected hundreds of homes. So, why should you hire us to inspect yours - because purchasing a home may be the biggest purchase you ever make and you want to take the steps necessary to ensure that it is the right one!

Follow these tips to help you choose your inspector:
  1. Ask if the inspector is licensed or certified.
  2. Ask if the inspector is insured.
  3. Ask if the inspector can email you a copy of a sample home inspection report so you know what kind of detail you can expect in your report.  Click here to view a sample of one of our reports.
  4. Ask how long the home inspection will take.  A good home inspection will last 2.5 - 3 hours.  If it doesn't, the inspector may not be inspecting everything.
  5. Read comments from other clients of theirs, or ask for references.
  6. Talk to the home inspector, not just a secretary, before scheduling.  Does the inspector seem friendly and personable?  Is the inspector willing to answer your questions and take the time to make you feel comfortable?
Single Family Homes, Condominiums, Duplexes, Triplexes, Twin Homes, Rental Properties, Newer & Older Homes.  We can and have inspected them all!

This was by far the most complete and well organized inspection report I have ever been given.  This is my 12th home, so I've seen a few.
